Got a "new" Turbo today, need advice...

I took delivery today on a 2008 Cayenne Turbo today, black on chesnut, and it's very clean. I am happy with the car overall (bought sigh unseen), but it has Pirelli snow/ice tires on it and needs a high quality buff job.

I don't have service records other then CarFax, and for peace of mind would like to get it tuned up. My local dealer wants $2300 for a 50k major...

What items do I need to focus on? It does have PDCC and the dealer said it needs serviced and only they can do it...I would prefer to take a list of things to do to a local independent (yes I have a good one who's worked on all my 911's and my Ferrari 360).

Thanks in advance,
MD

Hey Man WELCOME!!!

as far as the dealer that says ONLY they can do it!! I call BULLS$&T if you have an indy mechanic that has all the software for the vehicle use them Im sure you will spend half that. Its not CPO'ed under warranty right?
Do you have the owners manual? You can find whats needed for 50K in there. Usually the service consist of Plugs, coil packs possibly, oil change, air filter, cabin filter, wipers and inspection of the pano roof if you have one, they grease up the tracks and clean the drains. inspection of the belts and most likely rotors and pads.

What part of Northeast Ohio are you in? The PDCC reservoir is supposed to be replaced at 48k, but I do not believe it requires any special tools unless you introduce air into the system (then you would need a PIWIS or Durametric to bleed it).
The rest of the service is pretty standard: Oil change, spark plugs, and inspection.

I'm a former Porsche tech. I can help you out if you want to save some money. As far as shops, I'm not really familiar with any around here, since I'm relatively new to the area.

If you have 21" wheels. I have 4 Pirelli PZero 295 35 21 tires for sale for $600 shipped. They have about 90% tread left. If you have 295 30 22 tires to trade, let do that instead! Thanks.
