GTS, madness, or??
GTS, madness, or??
Hi all.
I am a happy 996 driver. Love the car, the feel and the sound is just sweeeeet.
But, I am in the need of a family car, need space for kids and luggage. And at the same time can give us a safe trip in comfort, but still give me some fun when I want it
So, then I am looking at a Cayenne. A 2009 GTS with 93 000km with only one owner is for sale now at the dealer, all the toys that was around is on it. Silver with black leather.
All service is done.
But, what are the weak points? Any thing to look out for?
How is a GTS to live with? Expensive service?
All tip/help is welcome

most guys will tell you that the weak point of GTS is it is not as quick as the turbo and the top speed is only 250 kph
I know a guy whose first Cayenne was a Turbo, moved to a 957 GTS and now driving a 958 GTS, like you he has another Porsche when there's a need for speed.
I would look at the service/maintenance history if available and see if the previous owner had lot's of problems with this unit, even if the dealer says all service is done.
a little too thirsty on gas - but we both know that.

Hello.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I will talk to the last, only, owner and hear what he has to say.
Speed, well, it is more than I need, it is a SUV
....so it is dam fast in my mind, but you know that
.
Gas, yeah, well, it is not a 1.4 L4 or something, but keeping the size of the car and its engine, and all the fun with one like these, I say its ok, hey, we onlly live once, so why not drive cars with charm that makes us smile. That was my idea when I got my first Porsche....and I am smilling
