Going to look at this 955 tomorrow.
I've been on the net for a few weeks now looking for a nice cayenne for a DD for not too much money. My current DD Durango is on it's last leg. Found this one not too far from me,going to look at it tomorrow. 04 Cayenne S-Air Suspension,20in sport wheels, full leather,NAV,1 owner 66k miles. It is priced pretty good at $18k. Any tips i could use to get the price down? Only things i don't like about it is passenger seat belt looks to be missing the plastic that goes around it,not a big deal but something to bring up. Another thing which is not a big deal to me is that it has the PCM 2.0 . Anything else I should know going in there so i play all my cards right? Thanks again guys, hope this works out.

As with many other cayennes, check that the following have been addressed:
- cardan shaft (aka drive shaft) - does not always fail, but if it does, doing at a shop will cost you about 1000-1400 bucks. As DIY it will cost you about $400 plus time (few hours). I have a DIY on this on the site and renntech too.
- cooling pipes - if it goes, you will have to do replacement immediately and will cost about $1600 if shop does it. As DIY, parts will be about $600 plus time (likely a weekend if you have not done this before).
- spark plugs/coil plugs - if not replaced, you will have to do so (at least plugs). If coils get cracked, you will have to replace them too. Few hours of work as DIY. At a shop, likely about $500 to complete.
- Brakes - rotors/pads. The car eats these fast, so if brakes are close to be replaced, you are talking at least $500 bucks for parts if you do as DIY. Shop will get these done for few hundred more (labor cost).
- Tires - same as above, car eats these fast, especially S/CTT. Check how much you have left. Tires not cheap.
NOTE:
Strongly recommend that you find if there is someone in your area that has a durametric cable to take and hook up to the car. It is a diagnostic cable that you can attach to car, and be able to see any codes that are registered for possible issues - to replace parts/diagnose the car.
Having the cable will give you all the info you would need to take to the seller, and be able to tell them fix it or lower price.
Good luck. These cars are awesome.
