Question LED Turn Signal Bulbs

I have some amber LED bulbs to place into the front turn signal housings. They flash in an odd way so I must replace the central flasher unit with an LED compatible unit. I don't wish to mess with load resistors. Anyone know where the flasher unit is located on the 2010 or earlier models?

My 996 flasher relay was under the steering wheel. You can usually hear it clicking from underneath, not sure if it is the same in the Cayenne

I believe they are controlled by the Central Electronics Control Unit (pulse width modulated), rather than by a relay. I know the clicking sound is generated by a speaker in the instrument cluster on the Cayenne. You may have to get LEDs with the appropriate resistance to work correctly.

I've never met a stock Porsche with electrical issues (outside of the starter switch of course). I've seen TONS with constant gremlins because some guy wants to change XXX. In this case, numerous problems after people start doing DIY resister/lighting changes. Let us know how it goes.
