2010 957 GTS squealing wheels at low speed

Has anyone experienced a hollow squealing noise coming from the wheels upon acceleration? I only hear it after I release the brake and slow roll usually around a parking lot or when pulling into the garage. It sounds like its from the rear wheels but that is only an educated guess.

I only hear it under 5mph. It recently went into Porsche for its 40K service and they told me they could find nothing. Of course after I got home that same day I heard it.

Brakes are fine and I have OEM stock wheels.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'll look into that tomorrow. This sound doesn't sound like typical brake squeal, it has a hollow sound to it.
Thanks much.

Hi Bill,

I was told by my mechanic that it's actually the edge of the rotor rubbing on the pad when there is some built-up brake dust. Run your fingers across the rotor and you'll probably notice that there is a small lip at the outer edge. After washing the car and/or spraying the rotor and brake pad with water to loosen up the dust, the sound typically goes away. It's supposedly hit or miss on this model. After replacing the rotors and pads last time, my sound did go away.

Good luck!

Thanks very much, I'll see in the am when I give it a quick wash. It'll be nice to know where it's emanating from.
I'll report back soon.
