Upgrade daily CS driver?

Looking to upgrade my Cayenne S 2006 to an 2008 Cayenne turbo.

I replaced the coolant tubes on top of the block and the infamous cardigan shaft bearing. Otherwise it has been a very strong car just miss the turbo aspect. Guess my 997 turbo has spoiled me.

What should I be looking for on an 2008 model in reference to obvious repairs??

My 08 CTT needed I Cardon shaft at 48000 miles. Absolutely no warning at all one minute fine next minute I thought someone was sledge hammering under my armrest. Otherwise no problems.

I wouldn't imagine that the repairs for a 2008 will be much different than they would be for a 2006.

Been there, done that with the Cardigan. Love the latest style of Cayenne. To be honest, I didn't at first but, it grew on me quickly. Wonder whether I should wait for the price to drop on a 2011 or just go with the 09 turbo. Not sure I like the rear bumper on the 09 though.

It really depends on what you want. I love my 08 CTT but will be looking to trade up within the year. The 11+ feels so much more nimble - you can really feel all of the weight difference in the previous gen...though it still obviously handles well for a SUV. I also prefer the steering feel in the 11+.

Great info. Drove an 11 and noticed the same thing. Drove up to the mountains last night and still think that the Cayenne is the best SUV to do it in. Just need a turbo because more is better.
