Last night I picked up good set of 19x9" wheels off an 04 Cayenne for $300. I drive a black 09 CTTS and I think a black powdercoat is in order for these wheels.

- Any opinions on flat black vs glossy black vs satin black?

- What is the best size winter tire for these wheels? Renaissance Man recommended 265/50 for an 19x8.5" wide wheel. These are 9" wide.

- Assuming I can retrofit new TPMS (the old wheels did not have TPMS), what is the procedure to re-configure the Cayenne with wheel/tire/ pressure info?

- If the total wheell+tire diameter changes will my speedo be automatically adjusted? Maybe I'm giving the Porsche engineers too much credit.

Thanks everyone. Really appreciate the guidance.

I just went with Niche Targa 20x8.5 with 275/45/R20XL Nokian Hakkaplta R2 for winter from America's Tire.
I wanted a very open spoke as I have packed other designs with deep snow and it is a pain to have to knock out.

Reconfigure happened as soon as I turned the car on. It knew there were new TPMS and asked me a couple questions.

With some reluctance to market anything on 6SpeedOnline, I do have a really nice set of 19" Cayenne rims available. Take a look at: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...229389674.html. Thanks. Robert

You are supposed to be able to pick your tire size from a menu.

Thought I would follow up and let you guys know that everything worked out great on the first try thanks to you guys! Here's the summary:

- picked up a set of 19x9" wheels off a 2004 Cayenne for $300
- they were a little banged up, had them sanded and powder coated flat black for $350
- got a set of 255/50R19 Blizzak LM-60 from tire rack for $1000
- got a new set of universal TPMS from a 6 speed member for $150
- had the TPMS programmed for my car from a local shop for $10 each (rip off)
- mounted and balanced for $125

Total was about two grand. Wheels came out great. Tires feel good. TPMS works fine. All that's left is to paint the center caps or pick up some less ugly ones. I attached a picture that really shows off the paint job. JK, it shows the salt and mud after a 350 mile drive to my parents house. I'll post better pics when I get it all cleaned up.
