Is The V6 Powerful Enough
I'm considering purchasing a Cayenne V6 or a Toyota Sequoia. I've read about how Porsche is planning to have a minor revision of the Cayenne next year giving the Base Cayenne 300 hp. For those of you that have the V6, do you feel the 250 hp enables you to drive "spiritedly" or does it feel to slow? I have been on some porsche tours before and I was wondering if the Cayenne would be capable of hanging in there. I know its not like a Carrera GT, but feedback would be helpful.
Sequoia is much bigger w 7 seats. It's huals stuff and is more practical.
Cayenne v6 can't be very fast. Plus, it's got a VW engine. I'd not consider a v6. Cayenne isn't very expensive to begin with so a v6 doesn't make sense IMO unless you are cutting down on fuel expenses.
Personally, I'd opt for a Lexus LX470 for 7 passenger or a CS.

I own a CTT but the family has a CS and I have driven (extensively) a regular Cayenne.
I became familiar with the CS first and then tried out a Cayenne and there was a HUGE difference. The Cayenne just felt like a bicycle to be honest. There was no power in the uptake, and the vehicle just felt heavy and unsatisfying when you put your foot down on the accelerator - something you would be accustomed to from a cumbersome mini-van.
If you havent driven an S - then it's proabably completely bearable - but if you have (and your budget doesn't allow for it) forget it.

300hp??? for the face lifted V6. Doubt it. More like 260 or 270hp...
I would suggest driving both vehicles and make your choice. If power and speed are what you are looking for you will not be happy with the V6 cayenne or a V6 anthing for that matter in an SUV.

Make your own judgement and drive both.
If V6 is within your budget get it, nothing else out there in the same category is better.
Dont listen to this people that drives 996TT as theyre daily driver.
Of course everything else would be slow for them

Purchased a Toyota Sequoia Limited 4X4 last night. It's much larger for my family of four and a big dog. I'm planning on looking at the new version of the Cayenne next year, and possibly purchasing it.

I've never heard of a Toyota Sequia Limited Turbo. I'm getting it detailed in a couple days, then I'll post some pix in this same topic. It'll work until next Spring. I've got the 911 in the mean time to hold me over. Try putting eight in your Cayenne S!
