Cayenne aftermarket Exhaust

I am looking at swaping out the stock exhaust for aftermarket. But before I do I was wondering if anyone that has done this could inform me what to expect in the MPG department. And Yes I know it doesnt get great mileage, but would rather ask before I drop it into the single digits.

Be assured it will only help in fact.

Be assured in reality it will only hurt.

Trying to keep your foot out of it when that sweet music is playing to your ears is the problem.:-)

Yep, you will find your self control frequently overwhelmed and mpg will suffer a little. But not into single digits unless you are a complete hooligan.

Just don't get tempted to buy leistung exhaust. Fabspeed more expensive but less hassle and you will actually get your parts.

I dont see a point in dropping 1900 when I can source similar products and have them burned on for way cheaper, Thinking more of a straight through muffler with the stock turbo tips.

That does look interesting. If I dont look into that I might go with Jones Performance Maxflow mufflers. But Mods have been put on hold for the moment. When I was about to get ready to do it the Cardan Shaft bearing went out and had to get it replaced.

Does wnyone have a diagram of what the internals of the stock muffler look like?

Love my Sebring exhuast. LESS than $1000 installed, and has that intoxicating Marine V8 growl:

I went with the one piece drive shaft from Lindsay Racing. I haven't installed it yet. The only problem is I think they need some lead time so if a guy needs one pronto they may not be able to ship right away yet.

I doubt you will find a diagram of the stock internals.

What would be the purpose? To see how restrictive it is? If so, you are better off increasing the exhaust pipe diameter to see any appreciable power gains, if you have a turbo. For anything NA, an aftermarket muffler will be more for the improved exhaust note.
