Yes. It has a metal crush washer. The washer is likely in the drained oil. They should be changed every oil change. I bought about 10 from suncoast so I would always have one.

Sometimes the drain plug gets cracked during tightening, causing a leak. If it's not the washer, then you might need a new plug.

The washer is about 1.25mm thick. Outside diameter of 24mm, inside diameter of 18mm. My battery is dead for my digital caliper so best I could do. I would also say it is made of aluminium.

Aren't there 2 drain plugs for the C?
I do change them almost every change....if I do not, I flip it so that the metal surface works its way into the metal of the pan better...but then make sure to replace next change.
Got about a dozen off ebay and have on hand to do changes with. Cheap item too, so knock yourself out.

I would return to the shop where you had the work done and have them check and correct the problem immediately. That's what you paid for.

There's only one drain plug on the 957. Two on the 955 V8s.

Just be happy that the mechanic hadnt got to the point of using a flat head and hammer to put those things on, after stripping out the center of the plug.

Nobody answering, so I'll give my two cents worth. It sounds like you got it all out if you needed to add near 9 qts. It is not good to be over the high Mark on the dipstick due to possibility of the crankshaft making foam in the crankcase because of high oil level. I would test it by driving it a bit and checking after it settles a few minutes, and repeat several times until oil is fully hot. If you see no evidence of foaming at any time, it is probably going to be fine. Otherwise you you could try to drain a pint or so, which is a pain but might be what you need to do.
