Sorry for starting another thread on this, but all the other online resources for VIN option decoding have been deactivated. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 957 Turbo and need some additional info like the build sheet, service records, etc that the seller doesn't have. What's the best source for these docs?

 

Best answer I got for you is go to the trunk write down all the numbers on the sticker in the spare tire well and go to https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/option-codes/957/ and look up what the codes mean.

 

It's a car I'm looking to purchase and I haven't seen it in person yet (long distance purchase).

 

Get them to take a picture of the sticker and send it to you. Shouldnt be to big of an issue, I would think. If someone is wanting to make a sale they should be able to give you any information about the vehicle thats not burried behind privacy. Is it a private seller or a dealer? Worst case I say buy a CARFAX. With dropping this kindof money whats $30-40 to make sure you dont end up with a fancy piece of junk.
