So far it looks like Hanks is the least expensive I have found. Is that what everyone else has seen? Thanks

My 2nd question is has anyone just gone down to a muffler shop and had them weld custom pipe on instead. I noticed on another thread someone briefly mentioned that on an 04 and said it worked out fine. 3rd question is has anyone recorded an 06 turbo S after installation? I'm wondering how much better it will sound. Some say minor change and some say its much bigger difference. Thanks
Yes the set of cats you see is the second set. The primaries are tucked up tight next to the block. You can try going to a shop to have it done but most won't do it because of legal ramifications. It's technically against federal law to remove them. Also be careful depending where you live and whether you have emissions testing. I hear some of them will fail the car if the cats have been removed.

Milltek

Thanks for the reply. Luckily we don't have emission testing here but everything I read says the primaries keep it legal. I just found these made from Milltek at the best price yet. Anyone tried this brand? Still would love to hear an 06ish Turbo S with this conversion if someone has or can make a clip. Thanks

There are a couple on youtube but not sure there is one with just the secondary bypass and stock exhaust. Here are a couple examples though...

FWIW, a crossover (x-pipe) was deliberately not used by Porsche on the Turbo Cayennes. See attached for a description of the factory exhaust systems.

I had my full exhaust done at a local performance shop and am very happy with it. It only cost $750. They removed the secondary cats and just ran pipes back to magnaflow mufflers. The sound is amazing and theres nothing like the crackles on downshifts. It is drastically louder than stock, thats for sure. No drone or obnoxious cabin noise though, still quiet inside with the windows up.

What's in the picture is considered an H-pipe. I'm pretty sure porsche was not looking at max performance also when they designed the exhaust, more like max noise reduction. The exhaust I am having fabed is a full 3" system from turbos to tips and what I am after is max performance not DB levels.

Here are Hank's pictures of my build equipped with the supersport exhaust and fabspeed tips. I have about ~40 miles on it and it sounds mean! Definitely has more bark and aggressive-ness than what came off. Hank is working on uploading some sound clips/vids, but I'll see if I can get some this weekend. The cold start-up cycle this morning gave me goosebumps! Hank's guys did an awesome job on the fabrication and fitment. I'm also told Primaries and Secondaries (2.5" and 3") are ready for shipment, as well as the mid-pipe. My setup is Primary deletes, Secondary deletes, 3" mid pipe with X-pipe, Supersport mufflers, and Fabspeed tips.
