DRL install on 955.....6 Volt DRL
DRL install on 955.....6 Volt DRL
I have a 955 CTT and I have installed some PIAA DENO 6 DRLS exactly like these http://www.gmpperformance.com/index....hicle&VID=3727
The kit did not include a relay switch, so I called PIAA and the tech said, just direct wire with the positive going to air conditioner or power window which is powered once the ignition is turned on.
I'd like to tackle this myself, but admitted have little (read zero) electrical experience with cars.....so the questions
1. Should I just direct wire it ? I don't think the DENO 6 has a built in resistor....wouldn't the constant 12 volts eventually blow the lights ?
2. If I do the relay.......can I just buy a universal relay and be SAFE ? Or should I just go ahead and buy the relay ($50) that's designed to go with the PIAA DENO 6 ?
Thanks for any help
