Squeaky shock Front Pass
Thanks for the feedback!!
I wish I was in a position to DIY. No tools, no garage and it's been a long time since I've owned either so what takes you guys an hour will wind up taking me a day so not practical for me even if I were to rent tools/garage. That said, I like the idea of a suspension shop over the dealer. I know I'm paying the highest price possible at the dealer but, and possibly worse, I don't have a warm and fuzzy that the right work is being done. The dealer didn't mention lower control arms, sway bars or tie rods (which is what Ciaka changed and made the difference) so i have little confidence that the dealer diagnosis is solid. @#$
thanks again for your feedback

The problem I had, and most others on here with squeaky from suspension, was the rear bushing on lower control arm ripped. All other components I got were not part of the problem.
I chose to replace them while taking care of control arms. Since they haven't been replaced before, and they do wear over time, I thought it would be good idea to do.
I have never done suspension on this car. Took me a day with taking time and getting nice pictures for diy articles.
If you do not think you can do yourself, I would recommend you go to a shop with good reputation. The control arm is held by 3 sets of bolts/nuts plus a ball joint/nut.
It is still possible your noise comes from upper control arms, but while researching, I don't think I found one person who said their noise was fixed after upper arm swap. I posted other suspension threads and forum members chimed in, showing the bushings that get torn, what to look for. If you look at bushings and ask can it rip, how would it tip, how the tear would affect operation, then think about way the suspension components move as you drive, you will realize where the most likely place to look for problems is.
Regardless, thanks for chiming in and start collecting some tools. You can save s whole bunch of money on diy work. If your suspension is air, you often do not need jacks either. Car comes with jack too.
Take care.

Austin, southwest (meridian across from circle c). Actually recently moved to Silicon Valley area in CA. Never got around to changing sigs. Hoping sometime soon I'll have opportunity to go back.
Once you live in TX, it's hard to leave.

I tell you what, I thought it was crazy a few years back but the highways are flooded with random states and Mexican plates, I cannot tell where they put all these people @ night.
lol, sounds like were getting set to have Alamo Part Dos soon -
Yeah, even before I left, I noticed a huge influx of people into the area.
About year before leaving it all seemed to start. It was every few days we would meet new people from California, or from New York, etc. All those states seem to be all coming to Texas. Good. Just recently found an article saying Texas is the 2nd state only behind NY state, to have most fortune 500 companies based there.
Been also hearing of crazy influx of folk from all over, just moving in to live in the state.
Would love to convince wife to come back.
