Throttle Body Cleaning - 2008 Cayenne V6
Throttle Body Cleaning - 2008 Cayenne V6
Access to the throttle bottle assembly on a 2008 Cayenne V6 is much easier than the V8 that I've seen in some DIY threads. From what I can tell, all I have to do is pop off the front engine cover, disconnect the air hose connection and then unscrew the 4 bolts that connect the throttle body assembly.
My question is can you clean the throttle body assembly without actually removing it? I was able to clean the butterfly and the inside of the assembly as far as I could with throttle cleaner and a cloth. Is this sufficient?

Replaced Throttle Body Assembly
Even after cleaning the Throttle Body Assembly, the CEL came back (P1109). My replacement part came in today so I erased the fault with the Durametric and installed the new Throttle Body Assembly. Hoping that this solves the P1109 fault. Since I replaced the MAF sensor a week or two ago, I'm not getting the P1090 fault anymore.
P1109 reappeared
Even after changing the MAF and the Throttle Body Assembly, the CEL came back on showing a P1109 Fault on the Durametric.
Any other things I should check?
