Help: Aux Input Options

Hi guys,

So my aunt has a 2008 Cayenne Turbo with Nav and she wanted to add an aux input to her car. Is this possible? If so, what is her best option?

Thanks for the help.

Yes; I purchased one from Suncoast. It's the factory Porsche iPod/Aux-Input module. As part of the purchase, Suncoast updates the Porsche database with the option so you can have it coded at any Porsche dealer. The module will not work unless it's activated.

I opted to install the module myself, install was quick (but I've removed the stereo several times, so I had an advantage) but anyone should be able to accomplish it on their own. Otherwise, just bring it to the dealer and they can install it as well.

I have an 09, but on their website you can find that there's a module for the 08 Cayenne as well. Search: "iPod or Aux Input Kit - 2005-08"

Great! Thank you so much for the help. Do you know where I can find a DIY for the installation? Or does it come with instructions?

Thanks!

I believe it came with instructions, or you can get them from Suncoast, but I definitely did have a print-out that showed how to do the install. It wasn't overly complicated, the hardest part is pulling the radio out (there are some funky clips that have to be disengaged to pull the radio forward).

Hmm so I see that this kit is essentially an FM transmitter. Is there a solution that directly plugs into the vehicle? Perhaps from Dension or Dice?

Thanks.
