iPhone 6s, 955s

Wanted to see what you guys recommend. Have a 955s with factory nav. All I want is an iPhone hook up. A cable to come out of the center console that will charge and play music from my phone. I have seen "units" that go all the way up to 1000 dollars. There has to be an easier way.

I tried searching the forum and others and found conflicting stories at best.

Thanks in advance!

Does yours have AUX input? If not Im not sure you can hook it into the nav unit other than to make phone calls.

I don't have an Aux input, any ideas how to install one? I don't want to spend $1000 on a new head unit as everything works fine and I can live without the Bluetooth. One shop was going to charge me $530 for an auxiliary input install, just seems ridiculous price to me. Thanks for the reply!

You should be able to shop around at a custom audio place. But Price wise and Porsche behavior afterwards I don't know.

I asked the same question a few years ago when I got my '05. I have never heard of an easy and cheap option other than replacing the whole system or adding an expensive aftermarket unit which has bluetooth, etc. Something to do with the complex Bose system with fiber optic cabling.

I stream music via Bluetooth to my OEM PCM2.1, however, I'm using a small sized USB cig power thing in my ashtray, and when I'm not using it, I can close the ashtray with the USB dongle still in it - not quite what you're asking for, but an option.

I wrote a DIY on my install/experience.

Keoni.
