Perfection-Plus Porsche here in Little Rock Arkansas are incredible. It was 85+ degrees here yesterday and we drove it around the city in stop and go traffic for almost an hour then took it for a 125 mph blast, let it idle some more shut it off and it started with half a starter turn! The vehicle has never run so well and responsive since I bought it. Very impressed with the performance. Brought it back to the shop and no codes showed up. Before when you cleared the codes they came instantly back as soon as you started the car. The crank sensor replacement did the trick. I just cant comment enough on how nice these guys were and still maintained their professionalism. Porsche of Central Austin Texas could learn a thing or two from these guys!

Glad it was a fairly simple and not too expensive fix once they figured out what it was!!

No real updates, I took the truck back and he took care of an unrelated problem. Truck still doesn't start after being run. It needs to be cranked and then I have to put my foot on the gas. First time it starts week and then dies out after 5-10 seconds. (Closer to 5) I did drive the truck about 30 miles the other day and it drove great, even sat in some traffic.

Basically my plan of action, is to order the crank sensor, and have it installed. If it still remains being a ***** I'm taking it to Porsche and sucking it up.

Im glad that you are enjoying your truck though, glad it was an easy fix!

Pelican Parts are a great supplier.

I paid 100 bucks more since I let the Porsche shop do it but it was worth the extra money not having to do it myself like I had planned. Plus they will guarantee it and troubleshoot if anything else arises. You cannot beat 58.00 for that part. I may even buy a spare for that price! LOL

Of course that sensor does not fit my year...

Replacing cam shaft position sensor. If you want to DIY, here is the how to.

Two parts:
1. Removing intake manifold - CLICK HERE

2. Replacement if sensor - CLICK HERE

Just in case you are interested. Make sure you have your Durametric ready before you start, to ensure this is the reason.

I love having my durametric.
Surely, many on this forum can attest how great it is to be able to see exactly what the issues are without guessing.
Can pull any codes off whenever needed. Saved thousands in labor cost for sure. Once codes pulled, you know exactly what the issue is, without guessing and costly trial/error.
Glad you solved your problem. Have a great day.

High pressure fuel pump.

This is what turned out to be the issue in this thread. Both fuel pumps were replaced and it never had a problem after, According to the owner
