Throttle lag on all cayennes?
So does flashing ur ecu fix the lag? Also does anyone know about Revo chips? My friend got a Revo flash on his auto and what it is is u go to the dealer and they'll flaash it for u, ur chip will stay flashed for 5 hours of driving and then it goes back to stock all for free. I think i might try this out to see if its worth the money, anyone know about it or tried it?
Thank you, guys, for answers. I was away skiing in France, so I wasn't able to answer. Now I have a tough task. First of all, some people say that the lag is really bad and you can't drive with it. Others say that it exists, but you can cope with it. And others say that it doesn't exist at all. Second thing, is that in 2007 there will be a facelifted model, so this one will be not new and actual. That's bad, because I am going to have that car for at least 3 years. I am just turning 18 in the next few months, so I am kinda lucky, that my parents can buy such a car for me. But you understand that I can't change cars every year. The question now is what to do with $75k, which my parents agreed to give me to buy a car for me. Cars in Russia cost much more than in USA, so if I want to buy a good car, I need to buy a used one, better 3-years old, because of taxes. I prefer to have a SUV, because I live in Moscow and sometimes the winter here is really serious (especially now, about -25 degrees C
), but maybe I can buy some sedan. What can you recommend? Really, I like cayenne very much, and I thought that I could do some visual mods to that cayenne later after the facelift. What do you think, guys? I must do a decision in a month, because as soon as I sell my old car, I will need to buy a new one.

If youre gonna have it for 3 years i suggest buy now, the facelifted cayenne if the spy shots are accurate doesnt really appeal to me..
I never had throttle lag even on my V6, I havent seen any issues abotu hesitation on newer models, including the 05 which i had. I only got rid of mine cause I wanted the PASM, but I found a cheap Turbo..if not I would be driving an 06 CS with PASM... Have you driven the car yet?
I suggest drive it and see what you think..everyones gonna have something to complain about, even people who has the new M5's complain about the jerky tranny, but other's dont...

Thank you for answer, Alex! I had a ride in a cayenne v6 and a cayenne turbo, but as a passenger, so I really can't tell if there was lag or not, because I didn't push the pedal myself. But as a passenger I like the car very-very much. It is really comfortable and fast. And, first of all, I like the exterior of the car much more than on any other SUV, like X5, ML, RX, Touareg and so on. I also don't like the pics of facelifted cayenne, but it is quite probable, that the pics are just photoshop. But I really don't think, that there will be so much difference to the model, that is being produced now. I am thinking about doing everything in the following way: buy used cayenne s in the next few months, drive it for awhile and after facelift, if it is really good, then put some aerokit on and do some other tuning, maybe to engine. I think that way will be the best thing I can do now.
