buying cayenne.. some questions
buying cayenne.. some questions
Hey,
im getting a cayenne V6 end of Jan. when i go back to Boston for school and i have some questions as this is my first porsche. i want to get the sports tailpipes, but does anyone know it greatly enhances the sound of the car?? is it worth the $$??
Also, the car i buy is probably gonna have MSRP between $51k-$52k, how much should i try to negotiate off sticker? is $3500 off a good deal?
Break-in: do i have to wait till 1,250 miles for break in or is it not neccesary on porsches?
thanks,
BD

Break-in is necessary. The $3500 off is not good, should be over 5K. You should jsut buy used tail pipes then buy the rear skirt for $200. Save you more money... you should also check with Jamy, deetz or adiaz they may have connections in Boston or delaer recommendations

Thank for the input... how much can used sports tailpipes cost me? Do they improve sound while accelerating and revving the engine?
Im pretty sure that Jamy goes to my school because ive seen it in the parking lot (at first i thought it was a turbo)...
I will most probably buy it from Clair Porsche in West Roxbury, anybody have any experience with them?
thanks

the tailpipes will not change the sound of the engine, they are just the end, for that u would need an exhaust. i would recommend fabspeed bypass pipes, for the v6 they are like 300 and they will make the car louder. I believe jamy bought his car from clair porsche but im not sure

tell your parents
imo the 6 is so slow on acc that is unsafe.. i just bought a s for that reason.........my wife drives the car and do not want her getting run over trying to get on the freeway......remember the top end does not change that much it's how fast you get there..lots of dead people who drove 55..... most people get killed stopping not . find a path of escape and accereate out of it
