Question Cayenne Wearing out tyres???

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post so please go easy on me.

I have a 2004 Cayenne S which seems to wear the outer edge of the Front Left tyre very quickly. The car is a Right Hand Drive Model with 18" Turbo Wheels.

The local guys from Porsche are telling me that this is a charecteristic of the car, and my driving habits - but I just wanted to check if anyone else is having this issue.

Also does anyone have the front end alighnment specs for a Cayenne S.

Thanks,

Nick

The Cayenne do indeed wear their tires very quickly. Some before 12k miles even. Hope this helps.

This vehicle chews up tires worse than a Ford F-250 with twin I beam front suspension. There is nothing to be done other than an alignment check and monitoring your inflation pressures. Kiss and hug your local tire guy 'cause he will be screwin' you on a regular basis.

(Turbo is even worse than the S)

My 03 turbo went through it's first set of front tires in 5,000 miles ( down to the cord on the inside edge), alignment was out big time. My 05 turbo has 7,800 miles on it now and is getting very close to to needing new tires, again wearing on inside edge of front and I have been rotating them. When new tires go on I will have it realigned. Just one of the costs of driving an SUV with 520 hp.
