Replace XENON headlights by LEDs

Hi,

I would love to replace the D1S Osram XENON bulbs with LEDs on my 957 Turbo S. Will that be possible and will I get any error messages when I simply replace the Xenon bulbs by LEDs?

Big thanks for help!

Don't do it !! I have tried many LED conversions in my halogen lights and they are ALL lacking the hot spot in the beam pattern of both halogens and xenons. The light is evenly spread over the beam area and although it is an improvement over the halogens, I doubt that you will get any better than your present xenons.

Phillips makes a D1S bulb Extreme 2.0(I believe)that is 150% brighter than the normal D1S bulb. I put these in my last DD with bi-xenon, and they were a significant improvement. Not cheap...over $200, but worth it. Once I get the headlights cleaned, and sealed if possible...condensation in the drivers side, I will do those bulbs for the bi-xenon’s, and replace the supplemental high beam with an LED.

Just put an Osram Nightbreaker D1S (200% better apparently) which is definitely an improvement
