Edmunds videos bugging me

Here are videos of the new Q7 and the cayenne turbo S

http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/VideosTypeIndex/type=SUV#2

Somebody please prove this wrong, because I'll backout if the 8.3 seconds 0-60 is true..I'd rather go with a Cayenne S/V6...that's rediculous..really bugging me at the moment, haha

Actually says this
Performance
0-60 mph in seconds: 7.1
Top track speed: 130 mph*
EPA fuel economy estimates (city/highway)*: n/a mpg
on the audi's website

I know when I drove the S it was a little off, but not a full second..maybe .1 or .3 sometimes..grrrrr

Well it is a heavy car. It's about the same weight as a RRS and about both V8's have roughly the same displacement so you would think a 8.2 0-60 time is more on spot then 7.3 for a N/A, heavy SUV.

I watched all the videos on that sight actually last night.
The SRT-8 faster than the CT by more than a second in the 1/4, slalom course /cones they said it had an equal performance to CTT (off road it doesn't go)
The supercharged RR sopt didn't look to bad either. The interior is nice too and I bet their NAV system is up-to-date!
When I watched the Q7 video, besides the front fascia scaring little kids comment, when they stated the 0-60mph time I immediately thought alex911s is not going to be happy with this...especially after driving a CTT, and one with performance mods too. But I didn't want to highlight the negative on your potential new ride.
Did you even consider a supercharged RRS? I think Land Rover probably still has some great leasing promotions.

omg... did you guys see the srt8 launch, lol? That was just ridiculous, I thought they sped up the video. I would LOVE to beat on one of those... probably a lot funner than my CV6, but when you're not in the "go fast" mood, you're STILL driving a JEEP.

i wouldnt buy a Q7. I would prefer to keep a Cayenne S or Range Rover Supercharged. Also, the BMW X5 4.4 is a great car!!

I know it;s heavy but the Cayenne S with air is same weight as the Q7..
340HP cayenne S does 6.8-7.0.. the Q7 has 350HP and more torque, that;s what makes me wonder

Here is the word from my dealer contact:
"That will be the time for the V6.
The Q7 is 50 pounds lighter than the Cayenne...
You KNOW it won't do 0-60 in 8.3 secs.
Tested in various European mags and it was along the 7.0 secs 0-60.

Steve, I think they compare it to the R class because of the 7 passenger configuration.
Once the GL comes out they might compare it to that one.

Q7 starts at $49,900 for the 4.2 with a LOT of standard features like:
Power tailgate
Bose
Bi-xenon headlights with Adaptive lights
Leather
7 passenger
Bluetooth
and the list goes on.
Very nicely equipped for about mid to upper $50k.
Fully loaded at around $63k (including air suspension)

That thing even has a 52/48 weight distribution!
(I think that might be a first for Audi..could be wrong though)"
