Cayenne 955 4wd fault, stuck in Low Range. HELP
I recently purchased a 955 and have been slowly fixing things on it. I had to replace the battery, original was bad. The first time I shifted into low gear the car would not shift back out, the center light on the switch blinks and I get a 4wd fault. I had to remove the transfer case motor and manually rotate the transfer case shaft into high gear. Upon removing the transfer case motor I realized it was torquing on the transfer case in a way the transfer case shaft doesn't rotate causing it to bind and be hard to remove. I ordered a New transfer case motor and replaced it. The new one does the exact same thing. I also noticed when I plugged the new motor in, and the car said it was in high gear, the motor rotated in a way that does not match the indexing of the shaft coming out of the transfer case that is also in high. They are keyed and only fit together one way. Essentially like when the car is telling the transfer case motor to be in "high" it does not align with what is actually "high" gear on the transfer case. Causing me to have to manually rotate the inner motor splines to bolt the motor up. I am curious if my transfer case control module may be bad? Wanting to hear if anyone else has dealt with this issue? Any help is appreciated, I'm stumped here.
