I realize, but that doesn't change that you really can't make more than 540-550HP on the stock turbos... The intercoolers don't allow the truck to make another 40-50HP...
I don't doubt GIAC, just curious...

I was suspicious of this as well since another 20hp was too small to consider until I spoke with the EVO guys. They told me that I should see more power with the CTTS ecu program than the regular CTT based program due to intercooler and ecu programming differences. Evo recommended I call GIAC to confirm and will do so. Where did you get the information that the existing turbo's could not make more than 540-550hp?

Neil@Orton is infamous around these parts
I am with Evan on this one.Porsche have done to the CTTS ECU what tuners have been doing to the CCT.Not very big gains on the CTTS.

I don't know it for a scientific fact I am just using common sense that if every tuner is getting 520-540 out of the stock turbos before going to larger turbos, I have to assume thats where their limit is... I don't know of any tuner that quotes higher than 540HP on stock turbos hence why I don't believe intercoolers make that big of a difference.
I could be wrong, my questions in this thread really are questions.

I suspect what you are saying is correct Evan, it makes sense. However, I was hoping to be surprised based on what I was told. I have not heard back from GIAC yet, but will post the results.

CTTS-GIAC ecu upgrade

It appears that the EVO guys were under the wrong impression. GIAC says Porsche already optimized the Cayenne Turbo S programming to achieve the existing gains over the regular Turbo. Thier program would only add approx. 20HP on the Turbo S. I stand corrected. The search goes on.
