Considering a Cayenne Turbo S

Hi Guys:

I have an "S" right now but thought it might be fun to jump to the CTTS. I know the truck is a monster but if you are an owner I would love to hear your impressions. Similarly, I know these vehicles are somewhat hard for dealers to move so I'm curious if you could ballpark a discount off of MSRP if you have experience with a purchase.

Thanks! I'm looking at a Titanium on Black...

I think that you SHOULD def go for it. However, with the new Cayenne coming out soon, i think u will take a huge depreciation hit. I think that dealers usually have 13% profit margin on Cayennes so if u take about 5%-7% off sticker then u should be getting a pretty good deal.

My dealer has 4 CTTS on the lot and im pretty sure they havent really been moving them too quickly.

My local dealer in So Cal will take 4K off...but thats about it...thats also on Blacks and Grays...limited edition Marine Blue will cost more. Total CTTS production for USA is 600 cars...thats even less than the 615 or so USA CGTs.

Good luck with your search...she's a beauty!

Why spend 120k on a new CTTS? Go buy a preowned '04 or '05 CTT for 70k +/-.

I bought my 2004 CTT for less than 70k with Champion wheels and 9k miles. My local dealer has a black 2004 CTT with less than 4k miles, with CPO for 72k.

The CTT was the first used vehicle I have ever purchased. After purchasing this used, I just don't think I will ever buy new again.

T,
u should've just picked up the Turbo they had when u got ur S. there was a perfect option Turbo (not loaded, just the right option & color) if u remember. they were offering me 10k off so that's around 86k for brand new 06. the Turbo S is great but u will take a huge hit no doubt. the Turbo S drives amazing but i'm not sure if i can justify the price difference to the regular Turbo. if dealer is not willing to do close to invoice then it's not a good buy.

Have to agree with the big boys. Get a slightly used reg. TT and give it an exhaust and a chip. It will be a monster too

Now Thats What I'm Talkin About!
Are you going to do the ECU flash...The power bump will get it closer to 600hp...3K at my dealer. I did tubis on my CTTS and can already feel a difference...the boost needle is always pinned even at medium throttle!

600hp is the limit to what the gear box could handle, anything over and the clutch discs needs to be reinforced with carbon, 9ff and gemballa both offer you the oppurtunity to supply them with your gearbox and then they reinforce it for a fee. I believe the limit the gear box can handle then goes up to 750hp.

You can buy a preowned Turbo and put a level 2 package in it good for 540BHP for a lot less money, but then again it is not a Turbo S (which does come with other item such as the brakes). Its really up to you... Is it important that you have a Turbo S with factory power or is it not really that important (and at that point just buy used and go aftermarket!).

That is correct, and is why our Level 4 is at 600HP... We will not go more on the Cayenne as its just not reliable (without a total rebuild ala Gemballa or 9ff).

Evan

No way you are going to get anywhere near 600HP with just a flash and exhaust. New turbos are needed to achieve this (from any tuner)!! 550HP is the most you will see out of the stock turbos....
