From the Jeep Website. Could be true- Although 0-60 is faster, in the most likely scenario, a highway run would probably see the Cayenne TT pulling away from the Jeep. Also, ur gonna get more girls in the Porsche

BD

Jeep® document.write(curVehicleName +' '+ curModelName); '06 Grand Cherokee SRT8
MSRP starting at $document.write(getMSRPonly("grand_cherokee_srt8") ); 40,395*

Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8's snarling big-block 6.1-liter HEMI® V8 engine puts 420 horsepower to the pavement through an exclusive electronic full-time four-wheel-drive system. The result?

Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the fastest SUV (0-60mph) in its class.†
Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the most powerful SUV built in America.‡
Grand Cherokee SRT8 accelerates from 0-60 mph in less time than Porsche Cayenne Turbo.§
Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the fastest SUV (0-60mph) under $100,000.

I drove one, very fast on straight line, but no way will outhandle a CTT.
plus it lost the 4wheel capability, towing as well.. interior sucks, ride sucks.
No one can touch the Cayenne's.. it's the ultimate..so refined..

I played with one on the way to Tahoe. Kicked its butt going up Highway 80 at altitude, I love making my own atmosphere, Turbo beats Hemi every time. I have read the Jeep 0-60 is 5 sec. The CTT is 5.4 sec. A Jeep is no substitute for a Porsche, I will take the handling of the CTT over the Jeep over the .4 sec. 0-60 time. I will be flashing my CTT soon just to make sure I do not have to give up the .4 sec, down here at sea level.

a buddy of mine has a red srt8. it is damn fast! but it is still ajeep and the interior is all jeep. you just know after a few months that the seats will lose their support and things are going to rattle and fall off.

I think it's safe to say the SRT8 would spank the G55 in a straight line AND in the twisties...

Scary thing is that there's a new supercharger kit for the SRT8 which makes 600hp... and 11's 1/4 miles...

check this out:

click srt8 jeep vs. corvette or camaro...

nevermind the idiots... but that is stock and comes out of the hole like 997tt

I had a Kleemann G55 for several years and I've also test driven the Jeep SRT8. The G55 felt quicker IMO. However, once the "twisties" hit, it's all over. The G55 does not like the turns.
