Haven't been notified by Eric from Bumperplugs who was arranging a group buy price so I am not quite sure if it IS actually available just yet - he said that once he got a shipment and they played with it for a few days in a Cayenne that he would annnounce to everyone.
I was waiting.

Does this kit allow you to retain and still use the 6-CD changer?

Kooser, curious how this is different from your existing ipod setup?

Thanks...

Yes I am using Nav-Tv, I used to have an FM modulator. I didn't get a chance to finish my previous post. The Nav-Tv solution is great. You lose the functionality of the CD changer though -but then again with an iPod of any size the changer is obsolete. The Dension unit also swaps funtionality with the CD changer so it is lost with this sytem too......however, what I am interested in is the rumor that you do NOT lose iPod control even when the unit is synched with your OEm head unit. What is a drawback with the Nav-Tv connection is that once it synchs it locks up your iPod clickwheel. So all searching and selections need to be made through the head unit, which only loads 30 artists, or albums, etc. at a time. You then have to scroll down alphabetically to the last of the 30 items then the next batch of 30 gets loaded in and so on. So imagine having an 80GB iPod full. It will take you quite a while to get down to Wheezer or Zappa or White Stripes, or Ying -Yang Twins, or Wolgang Amadeus Mozart, or the Who...I am sure you get the picture. If the Dension unit still allows searching directly from the iPod then I am all over it. My searches will go so rapidly and I won't be distracted as I drive, and I won't be stuck listening to A, B and C named artists most of the time!

BTW, your get an AUX in with the Nav-TV setup too.

I have the dension unit in my range rover and it's a little slow to search as well.. Can't you make playlists to make it easier to pick different genres

Yes I did, they sent me an updated unit and had it installed for me free of charge - now all is well.- but still waiting for Dension release to see if iPod controls freed up and if any other features are available.
