Bring it to the dealer and tell them they should give you a free wash and wax. Tell them they should have more self-respect than to let you drive around in a dirty Porsche- let alone a CTT-S!

When I had my bypass pipe done my car was too dirty to bring in the shop my guy said- so they did a beautiful job washing it- all included in the $98 for putting the pipe in. (dang! my garage floor was too cold to be laying on)

Robert,

Just joined 6-speed. but I have seen your posts on F-chat. I have a Cayenne TT and just love it! 27k mile so far and now that the software bugs have been excercized, the truck is amazing. Fast, dead quiet, great sound system, and very comffortable on road tripos. I'm also in RE Dev, and have made 20 trips between DC and Charlotte this year, tnd the Cayenne was the choice for all the trips (except for the F-car national meet) I highly recommend the Newer Turbo's. Finally someone is making tires that will last ~20k mi instead of the 8k bubble gum donuts that were orig equipment. If you can swing it, you might want to consider a new 08 CTT. Debugged and with the early 08 model year, less prone to immediate depreciation. Get the panormaic sunroof if at all possible. great for the times you would really rather be driving the 360 but need to carry stuff.

Cheers.

Agreed - the CTT is the PERFECT road trip vehicle, bar none IMHO. Snow, rain, offroad, speedy freeway runs, comfort, luxury, modest cargo space - it's got it all.

It's my tow truck and support vehicle at track days. The F-guys are a bit silly about putting shields on everything. Even the dog has a tattoo on her butt.

Ferrari sticker - It is funny but true. Ever since I got my ferrari I have stickers on all my cars E500 with 20's, BMW X5 with 20's (the 4.6 wheels) - wives car, computer, watch, helmet, garage wall, it goes on and on. I can not understand it my self - ha ha ha

Yesterday we went to the Naples, (fla) for cars on third with the car and there were over 90 F-cars and over 300 cars in total for a charity event for the kids. Check out FerrariChat.com under florida and it is Cars on 3rd thread.

Anyway I really keep the speed thing to the track with the Fcar, so killer speed is not important, I am in the car for atleast 2 hours a day to and from the office. I really hate going to the gas station, I always kid my wife and tell her it is such a waste of money - ha ha ha. I drive my mercedes 500 and I usually stop every 4th day or so at the gas station. I could not image every other day or so. It would drive me crazy. The benz is very comfortable and I have no issues with the car at all. I was just looking for something different.

It is really not about the money, it is about principal. And I have a budget in mind. $5000 down and a $650 payment for 39 mths and 15k miles a year. That is what I spend on our daily drivers. Our toys well - now that is another story. Money is no object there. - ha ha ha

Here in south florida all the high end cars are all over the place. The new Mercedes S series, all porsches are like Honda's, everyone seems to have one. They are everywhere.

I was thinking of a pre-owned Cayeene '06 or so from the auction and drive it until the wheels fall off. I would install 22's from day 1, gemballa front bumper, red brakes (maybe yellow), let the mods begine. Anyone who has seen my yellow porsche on this forum knows that I have no schame with changing out body parts on a car - ha ha ha. I had the yellow cab with a gt-2 nose, lowered, wheels, blah blah blah. I had a lot of fun with it.

Thanks for the responses, I am not sure what I will plan on getting. My lease is up in Sept of 07 so I have a little time.

You F-guys sound almost like us HD-guys. Have to have the bar and shield logo everywhere.
Do you have Ferrari dog toys and under wear too?

Robert, .....about the stickers...
My wife says that one of these days I'm going to grow-up and turn 13. She's concerned she won't know what to do with herself living with a mature man.

For the daily driver, a well cared for 06 or so would be a great choice. On the highway, My CTT averages about 17 mpg using cruising speeds ~80-85 when traffic permits. On slower long drives I've seen 20 -21 when speeds are closer to 60-65. The Turbo seems to get the same or better mileage on the highway as the CS from what I've read. Be sure to drive them both, but don't test the turbo unless you have securely locked the rationalization part of your personality in the trunk. It's addictive, and the creature comforts that are std are tempting. With the new 08's coming in a few months there should be ample supply and some good deals on 06's in all categories.
Happy hunting!

ps.. I've been admiring the Velano wheels as my first choice for my stock 360's. Was the decision to go with the 19's and 20's with the rolled fenders been a wise one, or should I just stick with a set of 19's? (my end of summer wish list)

Bob ("Rubino" on f-chat)
