Cayenne as a daily driver ???

My lease on my mercedes E500 is going to be over soon. I am considering the folllowing? Cayeene S, Mercedes E55 (2006) or a Mercedes CLS 500 with the AMG package. I already have 20" zauber gettin wheels that will fit on any of the mercedes, so I would not have to purchase wheels. I would get 22's for the porsche

Or even a 997 C4a (tipronic). But that is a long time in a car that small for a 1 to 1 1/2 hour trip in the morning. Does anyone else have a comute that far in a 997 or a 996 ???

The issue is that my office (real estate development company) is 90 miles round trip, per day. 5 to 6 days a week. Will the gas for a cayenne kill me???

It would be nice to have a suv, so I could it on the construction sites. My wife has the BMW x5 with 20" 4.6 wheels and I take her truck from time to time.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I love my Cayenne S as a daily driver. Best I've ever had. Gas mileage is ok. I can get about 350 to 400 miles on a tank of gas. Of course, like any other car, if you have a lead foot gas mileage will be poor.

If you are shopping for gas mileage, none of those are good choices, but I miss my CTT big time and can't wait to get another one. Lots of flaws - no ventilated seats, no Bluetooth, not reliable, but I miss it crazy.

It was my freeway driver.

i never once got close to 400. it was more like 280 to 320 miles at most.
as far as car, it's awesome. i am very comfortable in a 5 hour trip. The seats are great if you get lumbar support. if you want to use it daily get 20" not 22"s. the 22"s will be more pain to make sure you don't hit anything. but 22s does look nice. or better even a 21" bbs light weight wheel.

i miss my car nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

My Cayenne S is the daily driver, Been using it since 3rd of october 2005 and recently I broke the 20,000km mileage so tommorow its going to the Service Dept for Oil change and Airfilter cleaning; Plus the breakpads need changing.

Its a very comfortable SUV and handles superb for its weight, has characteristics of sports car, the only thing I wish Porsche would have done is increase the low/mid range torque of the Cayenne S.

My Cayenne is a DD- 40 min. each way- and it's wonderful! Sometimes I drive my Audi, but it gets harder because it's no way near as comfortable.

I love my Cayenne and the gas mileage is about the same as my C55 AMG. The AMG gets about 2 mpg better. Of the two, I prefer driving the Cayenne
