Methinks this is too good to be true. A "low mileage" 2006 CTT for only 45K?

The seller wants to use eBay protection program, but it only insures up to 20K.

Opinions anyone?

Sounds a little too good to be true... usually means that it is. I would see if the seller is willing to use an escrow service. eBay uses escrow.com and I would fly out to where the car is and ask to see it in person. With all the money you'd be saving it will definitely be worth a plane ticket.

 

SCAM- those pictures are from a dealership in Florida (I think)

 

talked to the guy on the phone...heavy French accent. Claimed that his job (real estate broker) transferred him suddenly from S. Cal to Mexico.

He didn't have time to sell the car and now he needs to sell it asap in order to get another car. Wants to use ebay (I think they escrow) but they only guarantee up to 20 K.

Wouldn't a dealership give at least 55K for that car, cash?

My dealer is asking 80K for an 06 w/ 8k miles. That car has 15. Way too good to be true. He said "I would not risk going to jail for a measly 45K" Well duh....there is no risk for him since he is out of the country.
