Can someone post DIY instructions on how to replace the stock xenon bulbs with aftermarket different color temp bulbs?

If it only takes 15 mins, this will be a very nice mod!

I changed my 4300K xenons on my BMW M5 to 6000K bulbs and they look awesome! That DIY job took about 20 mins per side...not bad!

Thanks!

Do you happen to have any pictures and of the lights and also which K rating did you go with. I dont want to road to be blue but like the bluish flicker
bi xenon = 1 buld, but high and low beams included, not within the bulb, but within the housing so a reflactive piece makes it angle upwards and back down to low beam.

have somone flick the high beams, when you are outside looking at the bulbs.
not a different bulb, that's why it is equally as bright as the low beams, and not needing to heat up...

hope this helped a bit...

could still be a problem, because although MOST OEM xenon cars have auto leveling ( my 09 escalade has xenon HID's, but no leveling) you can still adjust the lowest threshhold.

meaning you can still lower the lowest position the HID's will go.
meaning you can raise the beam up, even with auto leveling Hid's.

i did the mod to my 955, as well as upgraded my fogs to hid's. i put 6000k's into my lowbeams, and when compared to the stock, it looked almost identical to the stock bulbs. if you do decide to do this mod, do at least 8000k to see a difference from stock. but contrary to what one member posted, i was under the impression that the 6000k gives a blue hue, and the higher you go the more purple it appears.

I have an extra set of 8,000K D1S bulbs that I plan to try. If they're too blue, I'll try 6,000Ks. The set of 8,000Ks I have are made in Taiwan. I originally bought them for my M5, but they didn't work with the ballast on the M5. I'm hoping not to have any incompatibility issues with the Cayenne.

Which brand bulbs have you guys tried? I know Sylvania makes a 6,000K D1S, but they don't have an 8,000K D1S.

How about changing your cornering assist lights (I think that's what they're called)....the ones that come on automatically when you turn left/right? They are a very yellow halogen bulb that takes away from the "whiteness" of the oem HIDs.
