Should I pull the trigger on this one?
Should I pull the trigger on this one?
I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy this '04 on Monday. It's an 04 S with 34k miles (11months left on fact warranty), no nav, no moonroof, no wood on steering wheel, standard wheels, pretty bare bones I think- $36,995. Do you think that is a fare price from a dealer or should I continue the search?
Also, I've noticed that on some of the Cayennes there are 2 dials under the shifter. On others there is only one with a little tray in place of where the other one would sit. What is the second one for?

Your Cayenne S is equipped with Transfer Case control (std on all Cayenne and that's the left switch) and the switch to the right is the optional PASM ($3k), or air suspension, that's a great option.
There are gremlins lurking in many 03-04 trucks... if they've been cleared up you're probably in good shape.
Optimally you'd limit your search to Porsche "CPO" cars that are covered until 100,000 miles. But this one is super low miles and has 11 mos of warranty left...
not bad.

Ok, thanks for the info. CPO just adds 5-8k onto the price which hurts. Given my current car buying, I probably won't keep the Cayenne more than 6 months. I'm guessing about 3 months into ownership I will be looking for a roadster again
