Will nav play DVD movie

Has anyone figured out a way to play a DVD movie through the Nav screen on their Cayenne? It worked through the CD player my Lexus. I see the DVD logo on Navigation disc player under the passenger seat. I put in a DVD movie got nothing.

I asked the dealer and he told me no it would not work. He said that I would have to go to an aftermaket shop and get some type of a/v cord in order to get it to work.

interesting. has anyone tried doing that? thatd be a pretty nice fit if all it required was some extra hardware.

With my Lexus LX 470 the six disc CD player would play DVD's. It was a safety thing though and would not play when you put the vehicle in drive. I had a guy wire in a by pass switch and it played great. Awesome surround sound, too. Just wonder since the Porsche Nav system has the DVD logo on it, if there isn't an easy "do it yourself" way to make it play movies, too.

No... there is no easy "DIY" ........ short answer

The PCM must be programmed to different parameters....which isnt hard but takes someone who knows what they are doing....along with a "bridge component" ...IE Nav-tv

Wheels---I see that your in Ohio.....your not too far away from Philadelphia...If you want it done...you should call my shop.....I wouldnt exactly trust just anyone with your cayenne electronics!!

Racer_65----Yes, the DVD is also displayed on the instrument cluster screen!!
