My 05 CTT A/C freezes me no matter how hot the weather is outside.

I've had my '08 TT since mid-July. I live in NH and Maine and we've had some hot weather - mid 90s - and I think the A/C stinks. Frankly, it's my only complaint about the truck after almost 2,500 miles. I've found on a hot day I have to close the rear vents, put it in recirc mode, lower both t-stats to "LO" and turn the fan up almost full blast. For the record, I like it cold, but I can't imagine anyone living in FL or the south would be very happy.

Maybe they changed the refrigerant in 08. Mine is really starting to wear me out. I ran it for almost 20 mins yesterday before it was bearable inside the car. It definately works better with the large vent on the dash closed, but still not acceptable.

the ac in my v6 is not that good. Upon ignition, it takes about 10 secs for it to start blowing. When it blows, it's blowing out just air. It gradually gets cooler but never cold enough on a hot summer day. You'd have to let it work for about 15-20 min for it to get maximum effect. Plus, the back doesn't get any AC. Zero. Nothing. The vents are so weak in the back.

The MDX is totally different. It gets cold, freezing cold, immediately no matter what.

This is another reason why I'm feeling buyer's remorse. Should've gotten the MDX. Well, it's a v6, so I shouldn't expect much.

It appears to be true ... my '04 CTT can make the outside air condense on the front window.
