Noticed that new cayenne tires have a bigger wall size than previous version. Has anyone checked to see if I can fit these new tires on my old 19 inch cayenne wheels?

looking into it as the ride would be a major improvement (have steel suspension)

 

I don't think so. I remember reading that the 2011 cayenne wheels/tires couldn't be swapped w prior years.
