2011 Cayenne S same engine as GTS??
hi guys
i just changed my wife's hybrid order to a S yesterday at the dealer, after having not much confidence in hybrid techonology at the moment.
it says it has 400bhp and from what i remember the 958 were 385bhp. so am i right to say this engine is from GTS??? or am i wrong??
are both the GTS engines and the new 2011 cayenne s engine the same??
thanks

GTS rated at 405 HP vs. 400 for current S, so minimal difference in tuning using the same 4.8 liter block. The other reason the GTS was quicker than the S of that generation is the shorter 4.1:1 final drive ratio.
The top end would only be lower if the engine ran out of revs. Top speed is usually drag limited, as top gear is chosen for fuel consumption and low revs while cruising. Haven't seen a full road test of the GTS so can't say for sure.
