2011 Turbo on a dyno

I thought I'd share this with you folks. The dealership in my area had a customer's new 2011 on the dyno. Amazing hearing the turbo, so I thought. Apparently it's the dyno. :-) Sounds like a jet engine.

Enjoy!

Awesome. The run around the 2 min mark sounds like it is going to go bang. I could not hear how much power it made though??

I know, crazy, huh? I had to listen again because it was so hard to hear it shifting under the sound of the turbo and the tire noise.

Yeah, I wish they had made that info more clear.

Most of the noise I'm hearing sounds like dyno related spinning noises more so than turbo noises. The turbos are very quiet on these cars, and for as long as those runs took, I'm wondering if they were in the right gear......

Is that right? Having an S and not a Turbo, I suppose I wouldn't know for sure and I've never heard a dyno test in person. I guess I'm used to having heard the turbos on some other brand trucks and boy do they have a distinct sound, similar to what's heard in the video. But anyway, interesting to say the least.

You cannot hear the turbos in these new engines. The only way to really feel that you have turbos is to but blowoff valves, but you need a stick shift to get that feeling.

Yeah that whistling is the dyno wheels and the noise of the tires etc. It does sound pretty awesome though...it reminds me of a jet on a carrier taking off...I was almost expecting that cayenne to lift off!

I would if I could. Sorry. The dealership had posted this to their Facebook page and that's where I got it from. Sorry, guys.
