Thanks pepper- I like the wheels after seeing them on your car when you picked it up in Germany.

So what options went into her carcam? I've been going back and forth between the blacked out window frames and the silver frames on my option selection list but the more i look at the exterior black pack the more i'm convinced it slims the car down, and i think the less chubby the better the car looks. Silver does add that classy touch though, and does help to break up the black a bit.. (mines definitely going to be a black/jet black metallic).

I got the blacked out trim on mine because I had the 955/957 B-Pillar stuck in my head and had never really paid attention to what was and wasn't chromed on the 958. I'm glad I went with the blacked out option (though it's annoying that the lip on the hatch is still the metal look) especially with the roof rails, but I think I would have been happy without it. The chrome on the 958 really does feel more like an accent than the "too much" (in my opinion) on the older ones.

I'm mixed on it. I think it is a nice touch, but it also seems out of place since none of the other models have anything there.

I had mine de-badged from the factory so never had them on mine. I can't say I miss them.

I agree with gnat and think the silver is tasteful but I do like the all black trim better.

Surprised to hear that because on the black exterior pack now available the black knocks out all the silver accents including the rear hatch and r/rails.

Out here it seems all 99.99% of the V6TDi's have had the badge delete option so the only badges on the car is the one on the hood and the "Porsche" on the rear hatch. I think either way it doesn't matter but for some it seems they want to keep the mystery over what their Cayenne is when its a TDI. For me im leaving the diesel badging on the guards. All S's over here have the "cayenne S" left on the hatch for the distinctive model prestige value i'd say....which is understandable.

....well im still undecided but i'm leaning more toward the all black look at this stage. It looks like the wheel choice also has quite an impact over what works better with the silver trim or black selection on a black car.

Options- premium pkg plus, pano roof, pasm, thermal/sound insulated glass,
Blose stereo. Both trims are nice- no bad choice.

Aha....can't say i'm familiar with the premium package list. Out here in Aus each model just comes with stuff PCA decides and then you have an options list. Our cars are generally reasonably well kitted out as the model goes up in the pecking order, but not without leaving enough temptation to go that extra mile with the options. Our TDI 6 is the most basically equipped model outside of the lesser priced and even more basic V6 petrol. The S tends to have more options as standard and then there is the GTS and Turbo which basically get everything bar the roof and a few other small things.

I agree there is no bad choice on the exterior trim selection. It's a hard call but still feel the all black looks slimmer.

Interesting. carcam, does yours have a silver lip on your hatch?

Prior to getting mine I hadn't seen another with the black trim in person so I couldn't say if they made a mistake here or not. Could be a AUS vs US thing too. They like to tweak things between countries.

so the only badges on the car is the one on the hood and the "Porsche" on the rear hatch.
Yeap that was the end result on mine. I wouldn't have minded showing that it is a diesel (I think diesels need more promoting in the US), but I am in the "strongly dislikes" group on the mixed fonts for the "Porsche" and model lettering on the rear. I'd be fine with either, but both just looks bad in my opinion.

Yeah the rims were my dad's choice, white was my mom's choice, and the sports design package was the joint agreement, but it's my mom's car

I'm just the one who gets to enjoy taking pictures, and the occasional drive
