Track day with the CTT
Track day with the CTT
Local dealer sponsored a track day last Friday so thought: "what the heck, lets take out the Cayenne"
Conditions were mixed, started out dry, but after rain shower, got to test things in the very wet as well.
Overall, I couldnt belive I was driving a "truck." That car was truly amazing in all conditions. Deceptively stable and quick. It really drove like a smaller car, not a big SUV. The fact you can dive into corners at speeds you think you shouldnt, and then just point it around the corner - and it just goes where you tell it - pretty impressive for any car, let alone a SUV.
Granted, this will not be my regular track car, but sure fun to see what it is capable of. Only complaint was the transmission - occasionally found it to be in a higher gear than I wanted when in auto/sport mode, and with 8 gears and the multifunciton wheel, using the paddles wasnt the easiest to get used to. If Porsche would put the PDK on the Cayenne, and then we have something truly incredible.
FUN day!!
