replaced the order for 12 CS for the MRS...
so after emailing/calling every dealership in CA, NV, UT, WY, ID I ended replacing my order this morning. Didn't get 6.5% off MSRP again but $4K off isn't too bad and I was tired of all the hassel.
Ended up with the following options so let me know what you think. Again, this is for the MRS so performance isn't a big deal and I am trying to spec the vehicle in a way that it would help with resale but won't take too much funds from my future car

If you are looking to minimize depreciation I would drop to 14-Way seats, eliminate the Porsche crest, and eliminate the rear seat entertainment.
For rear seat entertainment, I would invest in some iPads and some iPad holders. They work just fine for my kids with much more utility and can be had for $2k cheaper.

on the ipads, how do you get the sound to come out of the car speakers? i don't want to take electrical things apart so if its an easy DIY it will be a great option.
concerning the seats, shes about 100lbs so figured the adaptive sports seats will hug a little better.

How well does the value hold on Porsches? Also, how long are you planning on keeping yours? When my wife and I looked into buying our CTT, we planned to keep this car for at least 10yrs. Much like our current cars, we've had then for a long time. My Audi is going on >10yrs. Received it in Jan 2001 and still going strong. So, I'm wondering how well this car would value after 10+yrs.
In my case, I don't connect the iPads to the car speakers. They just use headphones. If it was important, you could just connect them via USB or by aux in fairly easily.

I believe iPads have bluetooth so you could stream the audio to the car's entertainment system (if you picked the option with Bluetooth.. actually not sure if its standard on all models). This is what I plan to do with my iPhone and music.
Agree with tex94 and w00t. You will never get your money back on options, so any extras you're adding won't really help resale. That said, having an $80k+ car with a base stereo system doesn't quite make sense, either, so I would at least add the Bose. You still won't get the ~$1600 back on it, but it will give you a bigger audience to sell to when that time comes.
Options are such a personal thing, and make or break the enjoyment of a car IMO. Spec it how you/the wifey will enjoy it the most.
And to my thoughts on your options. I would pass on the door sills. While they look great and aren't much from a price standpoint, when do you really ever get to enjoy them? And did I miss it, but are you doing CF on the interior? I think the crests are overkill on front/back/center console. Again, not much from a $ standpoint, but that's a lot of Porsche crests!
I would also nix the rear seat entertainment and opt for iPads. How about wheels? I'm not especially fond of the stock wheels, planning for aftermarket? I like both the 19 options, and the 20 Spyders.
You'll and your wife will love it either way you go- congrats!

I end up switching cars every year or so but she likes keeping her cars for at least 3-4 years. I didn't opt for the wheel since will be going aftermarket and would like to keep the 18's just incase we go somewhere that needs snow tires.
Will add the bose package and remove the CF sill and Rear Ent. center. Can't let the crest go though, just something about it that makes the interior feel more Porsche'y for me

Also, I thought that PCM supports bluetooth audio, which means an iPad can also play through the car's stereo system wirelessly using bluetooth... maybe someone can confirm whether this actually works or not? Hopefully you don't need the telephone module for this. I'm gonna try and test this out at my dealer this week
would be nice if audio could be transmitted directly through bluetooth but that sounds too good to be true. anyone with an iphone/ipod/ipad can test and see if that will work? either way, i think the ipad idea would be the best and worst case I would just need to run a aux wire (wondering how that will work 2 ipads though
)

)SUV, eh Tan? Hope you have something fast with 2 doors coming soon
There's a thread here of how to do it on the '11 Peppers: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...1-cayenne.html
I'm eager to try this out at my dealer, and see if the audio quality is as good as the USB connection.
