Sport Package question..... PDCC & PTV
I drove CTTs with and without PDCC, and it is a very noticeable difference in roll...so much so that it should be standard on the turbo. A really different experience without it. We got PDCC (and PTV) and would never have one without these features if you drive in a spirited fashion (but then why else would you get the turbo???
)
I did not get it on the Panamera Turbo, and regret it every day. I drove a PTT at the Porsche Sport Driving School last month, and it was a huge difference in the autocross and on the track. A great feature, to be sure. Just my humble opinion.

Like JCBH, I also test drove both turbo with and without PDCC & PTV. I agree with JCBH, it makes a big difference for us, (even my wife noticed the difference when it was her turn on the wheel).
We were lucky that day at the dealership. There were 2 Cayenne Turbo on the lot with almost the same options (turbo II wheels, adaptive sport seat, premium package, panorama roof, Tiptronic); except different exterior colors (jet black and meteor grey) and sport package on the grey. Since we were returning customers, our sale rep allowed us extended test drives (almost 3 hours on the same day). I went on the same routes with both Cayenne multiple times.
I can honestly say PTV was not very apparent to me, there were a couple of times on the same right turns I took around 35-38 mph, and the grey Cayenne with the sport package felt much more on the rail (mini cooper like), can’t said I feel the inner rear wheel braking. The car turned very tight and precise; either the PTV works seamlessly with the PDCC, or the adaptive seat is too comfortable.
PDCC is very noticeable, the salesman put a water bottle in the car and when we turn or taking curves, we can still feel the g force, but definitely see and feel the grey car is much more leveled.
I would not buy any Cayenne without both PDCC and PTV, just my 2 cent.

Ditto... Huge difference. I had PDCC on my '08 and I'm getting both on the new one. It's much more fun/stable to drive at the limit. You'll really appreciate it if/when you have a close call and have to make an emergency maneuver to avoid collision, can be the difference between controlling the vehicle verses loosing control of the vehicle...

Yikes! I'm glad you're ok. Hate to have to bring it up but that's where it's really going to pay for itself, had a similar experience also. At split second moments like this you must have complete connection to/with your car.
These are still big vehicles despite what they appear to feel like. Although Porsche loves to make money these two options are not gimmicks...

For what it's worth, the Sales guy I am dealing with said that PDCC is noticeable in most driving conditions but PTV would only be felt on a Track.
This is contrary to most of the opinions expressed here.

Still doing research prior to ordering ours. We intend to tow our track car and drive off road. From the discussion here, it may make sense to order both PDCC and PTV rather than wish we had after the fact.
Do y'all have thoughts / experience with PDCC and PTV for off road use?

on my 2012 turbo i did NOT order sport package but got the PDCC and PTV separately so i could get the multifunction wheel. i wanted the buttons AND i wanted the HEATED steering wheel in the winter, which is great. The sport wheel does not have heating, i think. And I'm glad i got PDCC and PTV... but i love driving, technology, etc...
if a 2011 or newer cayenne turbo has the sport package listed in the build sheet, does it automatically have PDCC and PTV plus?
also do all 2014 Turbo S models come With PDCC and PTV plus regardless of it not being mentioned in the build sheets? My local Dealer was clueless so were the two out of state dealers I called.. one sales guy asked me some questions about PDCC... what does it do he said... WOW what happened to kWh what you sell???
please help!!
about to pull the trigger
also should I avoid the pano roof at all costs? I am buying a used car, so I am not picking a build, but hoping someone else chose wisely!
please any answers right away would really help me!!!

the 958 2 panel pano roof is not troublesome. It was the earlier Cayenne models 955/957 with the 3 panel roof that give problems. There is no reason to avoid the pano roof. That's a carry-over warning being given by "experts" who don't own a 958..
Don
do you have any knowledge on the PDCC PTV plus coming stock in a Turbo S 2014 model and not being listed on the build sheet?
also what is included in the premium package and the premium plus?

should I assume that if it has a sport paddle steering wheel and the steering wheel is not listed in the build that it has the PDCC and the PTV?
I have seen few cars that list the sport steering wheel as an option but no sport package or ptv or PDCC
I am confused and dont want to rule out cars that have the PDCC and PTV and sport steering wheel I am looking for without knowing.

I believe the interior comfort lighting, heated/cooled seats and probably some other gee-gaws came with the premium package (mine has that..) but not sure what the gee-gaws were.
With the exception of PDCC/PTV - my Turbo is pretty much loaded. Active cruise, voice control, active-headlights, Burmester, heated/cooled seats, 4-zone HVAC, Pano, parking assist/camera, lane-change assist, 18 way sport seats - but - strangely - no center of the console clock/chronograph or compass (that's being addressed.. gotta get on that project real soon now..) and no sport wheel (which is fine - had one on the diesel loaner I had for a month, and the paddles didn't make it worth loosing the buttons/***** on the wheel.)
