Valentine One auto-stop fix
Valentine One auto-stop fix
As any of you with Valentine Ones may have noticed, the V1 will recycle whenever the engine is in auto-stop mode and then restarts. This happens because a drop in voltage below 10 volts, even if momentarily, will cause it to recycle. I spoke to Valentine about this a number of months back, and they have developed a fix, I guess with Mike Valentine being a Porsche guy and all
The fix is a small plug in called "BOB", the Brown-Out Booster. It works by maintaining at least 10 volts to the V1 when the motor re-starts, thus preventing it from recycling. Very cool.

Valentine gave me one to beta test. It's worked perfectly so far. Don't know if they plan to sell it or retrofit to existing V1 owners. If they do sell it, I can't imagine it would be very expensive.
