Rear Porsche painted logo: Any opinions on it?

Any opinions on this and has anyone gotten this option:

The Porsche Painted Logo. I'm getting Jet Black metallic and wondering how you guys think it will look painted black. Not sure if it is black chrome though...

I like the look of the logo painted the color of the car. Makes the back look less busy. I painted mine meteor grey to match the car. I took it one step further and replaced the chrome metal molding at the base of the hatch with a black one.

Personally,i think no logo should be the new logo
Though, painted would be my second choice
I only still have mine on,cause I am too lazy to remove it
It was ok to have when I drove it in Europe, especially after racing with this one biker on a French country road and pulling about a mile ahead of him..and notice him checking out my ride after he caught up with me at a red light
It was a Suzuki 600 bandit,so no contest...but i did have a chuckle when I reached 145,looked in my rear view mirror...and saw him wayyyy behind
Ps:don't try this at home

Reminds me of doing 200 kph on a yamaha YJ900 outside Reims when a Ducati blew past me (I was too scared to chase). When I stopped for a break a few minutes later, it turned out the Ducati rider was a hot blonde. And no, I did not get her number (or the time of day for that matter). I spoke no French and had no rap.

$600 is kinda steep for a painted logo. That was my only feeling on it.

Does anyone have a black on black logo? I want to see it.

Search around the forum. I seem to remember someone posting pics of a totally blacked out CS. Not just the windows and badges but all of the porsche badging too. Looked pretty good. I went with no model designation but left the Porsche logo as chrome. I may change it though.

Here is my before and after JBM CS. The logo is in Satin Black. Aftermarket it was around $200 for the logos and prep/pain/install from the local Porsche auto bodyshop. All O.E. parts.

Looks awesome VinceV. Thanks for the pics. Is it me or does the lettering look a bit smaller?

I went with the option on my Meteor Grey Turbo. It certainly tones down the back end, which is what I wanted.

This thread caught my eye because I have the exact same OCD level...

While I can certainly appreciate and get into that look, I find myself typically opting for contrast. On my Jarama Beige '08 GTS (I find it to be one of the most unidentifiable colors I've ever seen - most people would call it grey or silver) I replaced the OEM silver rear logo "Cayenne GTS" with the OEM Satin Black w/red "S" - "Cayene GTS". I love it - more than the silver emblem, but again, I can certainly get into the same color emblem as well. I bought my GTS just about a month or so ago. Funny thing is, the previous owner had a few factory cosmetic enhancements ordered for it such as the aluminum-look side mirror covers and stainless steel skid plates front & rear - so the old emblem was actually "in theme" but still, I like the contrast better. BTW - I don't think the lettering is any smaller - the picture was taken a bit further away...
