my car just arrived at premier to get the car clear bra and wanted to see if the car rear windows come tinted/darker shaded than the fronts? i noticed from some of the pics posted here that the rears look darker so if they are i will most likely have premier tint the fronts to match the rears. my car did not come with the thermal option.

 

Yes the rear passenger, rear quarter and back windshield all have like 40% tint

This factory tint has a greenish look compared to the 2008-2010 which has more blue-ish factory tint.
Had to go with a different brand with my new CTT compared to my old 2008 GTS.
Just a FYI

EDIT: all models 2008+ cayenne have the same windows, the blue-ish vs green-ish, is due to the insulated panels if you get that option.
The windows that are insulated, double panel, with insulation insert are the side windows front/back. The rear window isn't insulated from what I can gather, but the windshield is. the front window looks a bit greenish/purpleish when outside at certain angles if you get the insulated, and the side insulated windows look a bit greenish.

this makes for a difference in blue vs green appearance, and when tint is applied over this amplifies any variance.

 

It has some tint as I was told, but also you can get the option for noise and privacy windows that tints it more. I got this option.

 

spoke to the guys at premier and they said they'll try to match the rear as close as possible but it won't be an exact match. guess it will be better than nothing right

 

give me a day to get this information for you, but my tint guy, the one who has done over 15 of my vehicles, bought 10 samples of various tints to find the one that EXACTLY MATCHES, and I will call him tomorrow and get the brand.
Let me know again if you have insulated glass or not, bc that does matter, but you can get it to match EXACTLY if you use the right tint.
And believe you me, I am VERY picky, and mine matches perfecly.

So I got ahold of my tint guy, and he stated that my 2008 GTS without thermal he installed Suntek Carbon, and the new 2011 CTT with thermal he installed ASWF the Excel line.
Both Cayennes matched perfectly.

Since your windows aren't insulated any normal common film they use will probably match. Just gets a bit harder when matching the insulation glare of you have that option.
