Service interval for 2012 Cayenne S
Service interval for 2012 Cayenne S
Well, my CS is only about 7 weeks old and I already have 3100 miles on it. Can anyone tell me when I should bring it in for service (oil change, etc?) or add oil? Haven't received any electronic messages yet.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Regular oil change interval is once a year or 10,000 miles which ever comes first. This is what Porsche recommends. Some (like me) believe in an oil change after a break in period. The theory behind this is that there are small particles that are shed when a new engine is put to the rigors of driving. You don't want these to get trapped in the engine parts long term. I changed mine after 4k miles 5 months after I bought the Cayenne. You ideally should be checking the oil in your Cayenne with every gas fill up. Are you not doing that ? It also helps to read the manual when it comes to
routine care and maintenance on such expensive vehicles so that you don't make a costly mistake. I wait till the bar on the indicator is just one above the minimum level required to top off the oil and also go conservative not to top it off too much as there is a danger in over filling.
