2012cayenne is infamous around these parts
Anyone have custom installed Valentine One?

I had this installed 2 weeks ago and have been comparing it to my older Windshield mount V1. The older V1 seems to be much more responsive and I get alerted far earlier than the custom installed unit. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks,

Where is the physical unit located? That is likely the cause of decreased reception.

From what I understand, it is in the rear headliner by the break light. I would agree, that is the problem. Without it being outside of the car though, I don't see how it can detect radar as well as a windshield mounted unit. Thoughts?

There is you answer right there. As it is the new Cayenne windshields have materials in them that greatly decrease reception and then adding another physical barrier to that will continue to reduce it. Did you consider the 9500ci?

We are located in Stamford, CT if you want to come by the shop we would be happy to look at it and give you some advice.
