Proper Dog Habitat for Cayenne (function, quality, appearance)

Hi all,

My wife's 958 is currently in production, ready for delivery early May 2012.

1. First P-car
2. And. yes, before I pose my question, I am posting the specs (below; sorry for poor alignment of table).

We have two larger dogs that we would like to transport in the 'trunk'. Do you have any suggestion of a quality (ideally OEM) dog crate or divider? All I can find are generic (subjective translation => somewhat ill fitting plastic cr*p) dividers with large bars and fugly appearance.

Thanks in advance,
DeeJott

I have the new Cayenne Turbo, almost the same options as yours. Seat Ventilation - works well. Likely, you will be disappointed in the "heated" seats - front or rear. This was my biggest disappointment in Porsche. My Escalade and wife's BMW X5M (and son's Japanese racer) all have toasty seats for winter time. Porsche is so weak that I questioned if it is working properly - Dealer and regional rep all assured me it was. Love the car, but this is a real flaw, and amazing for a German vehicle to have this issue. Also: you will love the Panoramic Roof. Porsche does it well. Here in the Northwest, with very little sun (like Germany), the extra "Vitamin D" and attitude enhancement is worth every penny for the option. Good Luck.

Funny how the new seat heating is not on the same level as the previous. My last CTT would fry eggs when set to 5 while my new one isn't nearly as warm or as quick but I do feel them. Ventilation is far more important to me in the South...

Sorry to hijack, I'm of no help on the dog dividers, our little pooch laps it or hops up on mine/the wifey's shoulders- but great build on the V6, it's loaded! You'll love it.

My heated seats get too warm even on the lowest setting. I can't use the seat heaters on settings 2 or 3. Admittedly, the lowest temps out here in Vegas this past winter were prob around the low 40s, but I have a feeling yours aren't working properly.

Mine at any temperature below freezing will melt ice. uncomfortable hot as is the steering wheel when on high for under 5 minutes. Who wants sweaty hands or back when driving which is how hot mine heats too.

Thanks for your responses. I am amazed about the variance in heating you are experiencing. Aren't those Germans supposed to be consistent? :-)

Regarding the original topic, I found a Tequipment cargo/animal management product that looks good enough...but it appears to be in a 957. Page 46 in this brochure.
