PTT vs CTT
Thank you both! :-) I'm leaning towards the Cayenne - its just seems better value for money and I can always have the enjoyment part in a 991 S Cab I'm planning to order.
Rennaisance - you mentioned second cat - would you be kind to explain and maybe share a recommendation (shop who can install and brand). I'm new to tunning as well ;-)

Agree totally with cat bypass. Super cheap, super good.
To put the speed in perspective, the best 0-60 time for the CTT is 4.0 seconds. My F430 was that same speed. Freak show in an SUV, almost defies the laws of physics. And, a good value in the Porsche line, vis a vis the PTT at $50K more.

I've driven the Panamera sport and turbo for over a month straight and I own a CTT.
For me I love the CTT and more so for its capabilities than the PTT.
I have two
Kids and like the back row to slide and recline and have leg room. The PTT isn't to that level in that area.
There is turbo lag in the CTT and the Panamera with the psk is VERY quick in shifts and takeoffs.
I wouldn't buy the PTT unless I just wanted an extra car to swap with. But not with already having a 911.
You'll be disappointed they aren't the same.
Get something a bit different that makes you appreciate it.
Go CTT and mod in a year or two after to respark the relationship like I will.

How are you liking the EVOMS tuning and bypass?? I am sure about the bypass but have been torn on the DME since there are different methods between the companies that provide them. Not sure if GIAC is coming out with one in the future either...
NOT a piggy back system, and if it is anything like they have achieved on a 2011PT..it will surpass any other tune
They are about finished with their dyno testing on a customers CT
It seems like it will be more than worth the wait

Probably be ready by the end of the month at the latest!

Alex,
Up in that area I would go to Sharkwerks. Give Alex a call and go over what you want, he is very helpful.
Vyper, I think the bypass pipes add a nice V8 gurgle on start up and at slow parking lot speeds. Under full throttle it sounds even better. Not as loud as a full new exhaust but it only costs about $600. Then there is the 30hp/tq increase with just this one mod.
I also have the EVOMS piggy back ecu tune which can be installed in under 15 minutes and can be taken off if needed.
You will be very happy with the CTT. If you order it, do not skimp on the options like full sport pkg, burmester, pano roof, ventilated seats, 21" wheels.

THANK YOU!
I've decided to go for Cayenne:
- better value for money
- i can customize it exactly how i want to, even if that means waiting 3 months
- pano roof is nice
- lots of cargo, i can trail etc.
The important parts as well:
- I think i can sell it easier than a PTT, if it comes to it
- if I really like it, it will serve me better over a long(er) period of time.
Does anyone in SF Bay Area (or LA for that matter as next week im there) have all the toys (cat bypass etc), so i can see for myself what they mean?
For a custom order, are there any particular things to watch out for that you saw and liked? (eg interior pieces or exterior?)
I'm going to order a fully loaded one, skipping only the PCCB and rear seat entertainment.

ah and there's the issue of color.
i can't believe how hard it is to choose colors.
For CTT it seems to me that Black or Metallic Black is the way to go. But which black?
(i think these will sell easier later)
Metallic Blue is also nice. but white is 'in fashion'. I heard it can get yellowy due to the film.
ah decisions decisions.

Don't skip the PCCBs,especially if you plan on adding some "goodies"

Their stopping power is amazing, their bite far surpasses the red calipers..I adore how I only need to lightly press the brake pedal to slow down effectively and smoothly(i call it feathering the brakes
)And if you drive it hard, they will stop you faster
The PCCBs make me smile just as much as the CT's acceleration
