I have tried to get my dealer to address this even with the dropped memory issue and still cannot get them to do it. Their reason, " we can't duplicate the problem and cannot fix or update without seeing it". Frustrating

 

Some dealers will just do it if they have a spare disk some fight all the way.

I had mine updated and no issues so far.

 

I had mine updated when I brought my CT in to have the tinted headlights installed
Though at first the service guys seemed confused and none could tell me they had heard of it,but since I had a snapshot(thanks to the person who posted it) to show them:they said they would do some" research " and take care of it
2 days later,it was ready..along with V2.44
Have not had any issues either(had none before) and think the time in the lower right hand corner is a convenient addition

 

The fact that some dealers upgrade for free and others charge is frustrating. Feel like I have to walk in telling my dealer a story to get them to do it for free. Never had this issue for MB. Their dealers were happy to do it for free. Wonder if MB dealers are able to charge MB for these updates while Porsche dealers are not able to bill Porsche for this time...

 

my 10k service is coming up on my V6 and looked at the price for this- $649?!?!

is this average price for the 10k service? seems like a major rip for an oil change.

 

Just had the PCM on my 2011 V6 upgraded from 2.40 to 2.46. Now I get the time on the console display. Upgrade was free with the original factory warranty still in effect.

 

Just checked version on my 2011 Turbo, and it's 2.20. Looks like I definitely should ask for an update. What's the best way to ask to get it done under warranty? My car has issues with right mirror not coming back up after reversing, and most personal settings getting reset every few weeks. Will that qualify? I do not have an XM subscription to tell them about pre-sets.

 

I have the same issue with the right mirror not coming back up and out to the correct location after reversing.

However, i have software version 2.44 so don't get your hopes up
